What’s Profilm? Is it the modern equivalent of tissue paper that we used to cover models with?
And what are the two small electrical connectors in the wings?
pro film is actually the American oracover, not my favourite, but the idea here was to use only the bits I had and I had a roll of the stuff from a sale in the UK. Solarfilm is the original and I like it most still, there are loads of others, solartex is like nylon and I used this on a lot on high quality scale models, it’s very realistic. Yes it is used instead of tissue and dope, we used to use nylon, but yes. Solarfilm has a glossy finish and is available in a lot of colours, this covering is used extensivly in the model making and manufacturing industry.
